I chose DaphneManyCats because years ago I was reading a story (I think it was a Tony Hillerman book, no idea which one) and one of the characters was Jenny Manygoats (Navajo). Not being very culturally sensitive at the time, I giggled for days over that name. I was up at Flagstaff going to NAU (just for a year, but I still consider myself a Lumberjack) , The cousin of my neighbor in the dorm was a gal who's name was Amy Twogoats (also Navajo, but in real life) - the moniker still makes me giggle (guess I've developed selective cultural sensitivity!) , especially when I think about my own menagerie - I suppose I should change the blog to DaphneManyCritters since Daphne ThreeCatsTenTortoisesTwoFish is just really, really too long and I kind of hate to be so feline centric.
And what happens when I someday get a dog?
Or start raising Urban Chickens like my friend Kater?
So I dont really have a mission statement or vision for this blog - like every other blog out there it will probably end up being whatever crap is crossing my mind at the time. Hopefully you'll be entertained and I'll get some writing practice in.
